A favored vaction spot since the Victorian era, Blackpool is a traditional English seaside town. Amusement arcades and crazy golf courses line the promenade and dotted between them are plenty of places to pick up fresh fish ‘n’ chips and Blackpool rock.
On the 5-mile sandy beach, children can enjoy Punch and Judy shows and donkey rides. Old-fashioned entertainment at its best. At the other end of the scale is the Blackpool Pleasure Beach, a fairground complex comprising a variety of rides, including The Big One - once the world’s tallest and steepest rollercoaster. They actually had to get permission from nearby Blackpool Airport to erect it!
More seaside pursuits are on the town’s 3 piers, one of which is Grade II listed. However, the most recognizable landmark is the Blackpool Tower which houses a circus, 4D cinema and a world-renowned ballroom, to name a few. Modeled on the Eiffel Tower, it is spectacularly lit during the annual Blackpool Illuminations, when the whole town is bathed in bright lights. The trams plying the prom are also lit. Look out for the one shaped like a ship.
A popular bachelor and bachelorette destination, Blackpool has accommodations ranging from North Shore hotels to South Shore B&Bs - see Booking.com for the best choice.
There are pub clubs wetherspoons. They have theatre and there's plenty of local shops. Trams and buses to take you to other places you would like to visit. Fish and chip shops. And plenty of restaurants nearby

We went for a special event so didn’t use the attractions...
We went for a special event so didn’t use the attractions that were on offer. Having said that there were lots of things you could do if you wanted to, especially for younger people, and familles with children. However it was a bit pricey but I guess that’s the same for everywhere these days. We did have a ride in the horse and carriage which was nice but there was a lot of traffic so it was a bit stop/start. There did seem to be a lack of public toilets for such a large place. Stanley Park was on our doorstep and a lovely place to walk around, with a nice cafe serving breakfast/lunch/dinner/snacks/ice cream or just drinks, it’s huge both inside and out. The outside is all dog friendly with dog water bowls available. St Anne’s was a nice place we visited, much quieter with a lovely dog friendly beach and a good selection of shops and dog friendly restaurants/cafes. Much more so than Blackpool itself. I’d have to say that Blackpool its more of a family/ young person place, so if this is you you’ll have a great time. But if you’re older or have dogs like us, then I’d head towards St.Annes.

My partner and I love coming to Blackpool, despite run down...
My partner and I love coming to Blackpool, despite run down beach front buildings there is a lovely beach to visit and sooooo much to do from shopping, clubbing etc. to walking and even swimming when the weather is hot. It is just a shame that the council is not investing money into improving the town as it is our favourite seaside place to visit.
It is very easy to get around as there are buses, taxis and trams, so plenty of choices or just a nice long walk if you stay in the centre.
We love to do some shopping, eating out and long walks on the beach but there are a lot of attractions for everyone including the wonderful Blackpool tower.
The location of the hotel was perfect. The room had a modern décor and was spotless. the EnSite was slightly dated but still spotlessly clean. All the staff where friendly and helpful and the bar offered a good range of snack foods such as pizza, sandwiches and jacket potatoes which was ideal after a long day sightseeing. This hotel is very family friendly orientated, Myself and my Son both had amazing time will definitely stay here again on our next trip to Blackpool
This is a wonderful hotel. The rooms were cozy but had everything we needed and everything was spotlessly clean. Location is great, on the North Shore and away from the noise but with Blackpool’s main attractions easily accessible. The breakfast was fantastic and they were so accommodating. The best part of this hotel is the family who run it - they are so lovely, nothing is too much trouble and they immediately make you feel welcome. This is a Blackpool gem!
The hotel is perfectly located - right on the promenade near the north shore tram stop, a short walk from Blackpool North train station.
The staff were friendly and helpful, and the bar & breakfast looked good although we didn't use those facilities.
The room was clean & a decent size, and had a smart TV which enabled Netflix login and other apps which we thought was a nice touch. The shower was powerful, and the black out curtains really worked well.
Lovely appointed hotel. This is Blackpool so the rooms are never massive but the room had everything required and tastefully done. You can tell time and money is being spent on raising the standard of the building and its rooms. The staff are all lovely, very helpful and welcoming. Great location, a very short walk to the seafront but not noisy. Lovely breakfast. Never tried any of the hotels facilities as we enjoyed ourselves too much in Blackpool.
Very friendly staff treated you like family coming to stay.
Breakfast was the best I've tasted.
The bar was great .
Rooms very cosy and beds were so comfortable.
There wasn't a speck of dust anywhere.
Throughout.
I would recommend this hotel to anyone and give it 10 out of 10 for cleanliness.
And room and staff plus food.
If you go to the clifton court hotel .
You won't be disappointed.
There you'll go to stay in blackpool over and over .
Good location. New staff had started similar time to our stay. They cooked breakfast and it was good. WiFi worked once we got a new details from host as details showing in room did not work. Table/ seats outside hotel, this was good to just sit with a drink and relax away from the packed Blackpool seafront. Price was cheap for 3 day’s so didn’t expect perfection. Staff were all pleasant and helpful throughout our stay.
Second time I’ve stayed in this hotel, absolutely amazing and friendly staff. Bar is pretty decent priced too also. Location is okay, if your staying south shore but if wanting north it’s about 10-15 walk to tower.
Basic small rooms,( twin) but that’s all I wanted as literally just went to hotel to sleep as was always out.
Very very good for groups, or if you wanting a piss up in Blackpool
Hotel in great location and great value for the money, stayed in the family room in July 2023 , the staff were so helpful and everything was ready for us coming. Staff lovely and kept making sure we had everything. Been going to blackpool for years , this has to be the best value for money hotel, I will definitely be booking here again. Also great location
The Hotel was as we expected. No disrespect intended to Blackpool but as in most of the area it is in need of a little TLC. Having said that the price we paid was very fair, the staff very helpful and there was plenty of free parking on the road outside. The location is perfect, with a 5 minute walk to the seafront and a 15 minute walk to the Town Center.
The staff were friendly and welcoming. It was a clean room. A lovely hot breakfast. Would definitely stay there again we had a lovely stay. A very comfortable bed me and my son enjoyed our stay. One of the best hotels we have ever stayed. Lovely hosts . Will definitely recommend to my family and friends to go here.
Lots of room for the price, the place is huge compared to a hotel room at the same price. Dog friendly with no extra charge and great communication from the owner. The kitchen had everything needed to make a simple meal for two. Very central to all things Blackpool with zero street noise.
Close to the beach, pleasure beach and Blackpool South train station.
The hotel was spotlessly clean and the decor amazing. I would have loved to have stayed longer and experienced an evening in the beautiful bar.
Breakfast was amazing.
The owners and staff were outstanding. They made such an effort to make me feel special for my birthday. The hotel room had everything, iron, hairdryer etc. The breakfast was delicious and great location to Blackpool attractions.
The location is a walk away from all Blackpool has to offer but at the same time far enough away not to be disturbed by the amenities of the seafront. I would definitely stay again.
